As part of the University of California’s approach to leading innovation through creative study and research, the StarCAVE was born and housed in the Cal IT facility on the San Diego Campus.  This was a fully immersive environment used to experience spaces and volumes inside a virtual platform.

We collaborated with the faculty and directors to help explore the diverse uses of the environment, including things like cognitive impact of design, wayfinding, and design creation.  The StarCAVE assisted us in exploring designs, as we were creating them, and allowed clients and stakeholders to experience the process and solutions as they were being designed.
