As new programs developed on the Binghamton campus in the State University of New York system, so did the conversations of educational environments and campus context.  Leadership was determined to find a new voice and presence within the SUNY system of universities.  In this project, we were tasked with creating a facility to house a variety of new educational programs, embracing the individuality and uniqueness of each program, while providing a progressive image that respects the context, yet challenges its architecture.

The design responded to this challenge by a creating an impressive student gateway to the campus, inspiring a new energy for this diverse community.  Two dynamic building volumes house the new School of Management, School of Nursing, and School of Educational and Human Development, providing a wonderful learning environment and expressing a soaring spirit of higher education.
