FRONTIER PROJECT / CUCAMONGA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA USA
In 2006, the Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) came up with a unique and challenging proposal - to collaborate in their vision of educating local residents, commercial builders, and sustainability advocates regarding the latest conventional methods and technique in water, energy, and site efficiency. As a result of the passion and energy of the team and client, what started out as an idea spurred from social growth and responsibility, blossomed into something much larger and encompassing: the creation of a non-profit foundation that propelled the Frontier Project into a LEED Platinum- certified community education resource.
The design solution reflects this innovative spirit and showcases the responsibilities of a sustainable practice and movement. The dynamic facility embraces education and highlights numerous examples to learn and reflect upon.
