Intelligent sports and entertainment environments were just beginning to be explored in the mid 1990‘s, where the desire for creating flexibility and diversity in these venues was on the forefront of the movement. This trend was successfully captured in the project that started off as a competition in the Saitama Prefecture, north of Tokyo. This project was awarded to present the future of these new arenas, helping to emphasize Japan’s leadership at that time in new technologies and innovative ideas.

The design expressed a progressive style and dynamic that would draw attention to this new type of venue.  Glass and steel elements sore and embrace the expressive movement of sports and entertainment activities, while providing a flexible stage to showcase innovation and set in place an interactive spirit for its users.
